These peacocks were inspired by a scrap of wallpaper created by the 19ths century decorative artist, Eugene Grasse, who was a pioneer in the Art Nouveau movement. The peacocks were then combined with influences from William Morris’ Willow Bough and Flowerpot designs and the colour palette was imagined by Frederick Rhead.
