Sew Exciting is a family business run by Vernon and Charlotte Morris.  Charlotte was brought up surrounded by needlework.  Her mother, Nini Fuller, was a prolific canvas embroidery designer and needlepoint teacher.  Charlotte’s love for colour and design are what lead us to set up Sew Exciting!  We have been on-line since January 2001, and as a result are one of the most established on-line needlework retailers in the UK.

We are also one of the UK’s main needlepoint kit manufacturer and wholesalers.  As a result we can offer the designs from the following designers to the trade customers: Animal Fayre, Caroline Denoon Duncan, Carol Yates, Dundonald Designs, Fine Cell Work, Nini Fuller, Primavera and Susan Lethbridge.  Designs by Caroline Denoon Duncan, Carol Yates, Dundonald Designs, Nini Fuller, and Susan Lethbridge are sold under the Sew Exciting brand.

Our Aims

To offer you the very best from top British needlework designers.

To look after our customers, before, during and after they have bought from us!

Choosing a design is made as easy as possible – not only are the designs displayed in a variety of ways (by designer, needlecraft, subject matter and by type of item) but you can also add items to your own personal wish list.  This is an ideal place to keep designs you are thinking about, planning to buy next or saving up for!

Because we manufacture so many of the designs we offer in-house, we can help ensure you get the kit you want – for example, replacing a background colour or offering the design as a chart or canvas only, rather than as the full kit.

We keep postage costs to a minimum for all our customers and for customers in the UK, shipping is free for orders over £40.

We offer loyalty points! For every £1 you spend (on things other than wool) you will earn a point.  Each point is worth 5p and these can be used to pay for future purchases.  So if you spend £50 on a kit, you will get 50 points, equivalent to £2.50 off your next purchase! Points do not run out, so no matter how fast you stitch they will be there for you.

Our Stitching Advice area has lots of useful advice to help you with your projects.  This includes details on how to work out how much wool you will need, hints and tips to help you with your project (getting started, stitching and finishing off) and a huge stitch dictionary with worked examples and detailed instructions for over 150 different stitches.

If you can’t find the help you need through our site, you can contact us by phone or e-mail and we will do our best to help you.
